The costs that add up
The evaluation fee is the visible part. Reset fees, new evaluations after a fail, activation fees on a funded account, and sometimes data or platform fees make up the rest.
A worked example
Say an evaluation costs $100 and you pass 30% of the time. You will need about 3.3 evaluations per funded account (1 ÷ 0.30), so about $333 in evaluation fees, plus any activation fee. At a 50% pass rate it is 2 evaluations, about $200.
Why pass rate matters most
Pass rate has a bigger effect on cost than a promotional discount. Improving it from 30% to 50% cuts the number of evaluations you need by 40%.
Estimate your own
Use your own history to estimate your pass rate and plug it into the challenge cost calculator with the real plan you are considering.
