Frequently asked questions

What is a trailing drawdown?

A trailing drawdown sets your account floor a fixed dollar amount below your highest balance. As your balance makes new highs the floor rises with it, and it does not move back down.

What is the difference between intraday and end-of-day trailing drawdown?

An intraday trailing drawdown follows your highest balance reached at any moment, including open profit. An end-of-day trailing drawdown only updates from your closing balance each session, which gives more room during the day.

What is a static drawdown?

A static drawdown keeps the floor at a fixed level below your starting balance. It never rises as you make profit.

Is this calculator exact?

No. It is a conservative estimate and some firms lock the floor once it reaches the starting balance. Always check your firm’s own dashboard and rules for the number that counts.
